Installed this fan in our 80s style home in Hawaii, no insulation and open window design. Works GREAT, cools the house down in no time. Previously after a long hot day it would take all night to cool the house down, now the air circulates so well its a matter of 20 minutes and the house is cool. Windows are always open in our place anyway and this creates a breeze no matter if its Kona winds or not. So quiet, can not really hear the fan run. Worked with Mike to have it shipped to Hawaii and very happy.

Just wanted to thank you for your great product! I reside in Utah and love the R10 cold weather damper and the 2-speed remote control with timer. I bought this unit and I can’t stop raving about it. I preferred to get fresh air instead of turning AC unit and recycling the air inside the house. Of course this unit only works if the air outside the house is cooler than the air inside. I turn on my Centric Air fan and crack two windows on opposite side of the house to evacuate all the hot air from house and let the cooler fresh air from outside. That eliminates turning on the ac unit hence having a lower electrical bill.

We purchased this whole house fan to reduce our electricity bill and keep our 3,200 sq ft house cool at night. We turned it on for the very first time and it was SO quiet we did not think it was on, but after seeing the dampers doors open and feeling the cool air come through our open windows, we were thrilled!

It is been two months since we installed this unit and we are enjoying having a reduced electricity bill and cool/fresh night air. We open two windows (each on opposite sides of the house) and it keeps our house at a comfortable 68 degrees (which makes for a very restful sleep), while pushing all the hot air out of our attic, which makes a huge difference the next day when it is 90 degrees outside.

There are two power settings - Low and High. We always use the low setting, which reduces the temperature of our home from 78 degrees to 68 degrees in a matter of 1-2 hours (when it is about 54 degrees outside).

I highly recommend this product for anyone considering a whole house fan who lives in a warm climate like we do and enjoys the cool/fresh night air. Once you install one, you will be asking yourself why you did not do it sooner.

Thought I had add my comments. I had my 3.4 installed in July 2014 and we use it almost every night from April to November. The second story stays warm even with A/C going so as soon as the outside thermometer is 1 degree cooler than the inside, I kick on the whole house fan and the upstairs begins cooling immediately. 5 years is a pretty good endorsement for this product and I have told many friends about it and received multiple $50 referral checks. Great product.

I have been wanting to install a whole house fan for years but for some reason (read procrastination) just never got around to it. Happy to say I finally pulled the trigger. I had many questions and Mike was very patient and answered all. Had it installed and my only complaint now is that it is raining so I can't put my new toy to the test. I can tell you that the unit is much quieter then I expected. I am no longer dreading summer! Thanks Mike

I wanted a fan that would be large enough for my 3500 sf house. The Centric Air delivers 3200 cfm and that works out to double the cfm per square footage. I installed it in a hallway in about the middle of my house and hung the fan pointed at a gable vent in my attic. The fan moves a tremendous amount of air. In fact so much air, a small amount of air comes out of a few outlet and light switch in my house. So now I am in the process of adding additional vents to my attic. The fan works great it is very quiet. It is quieter than our central air. I would absolutely recommend Centric Air products to any one thinking of whole house fans.

I have been in construction for 32 years, the last 12 have been as a project manager. I have installed 4 other whole house fans in the past and I got this one because it was advertised as quite…… I unpackaged your 3.4 and read thru the instruction, my first thought was “they make it sound easier then it will be” what a great marketing idea…..when I have a problem I hope theirs someone to answer the phone!! Well here I am to say, wow! It was as easy as a product should be to install. The direction are as it goes in, simple. I expected at a minimum to have to relocate the receiver box for the remote due to its tucked into a pocket in the attic that for all intents and purposes is surrounded with duct work from every angle but so far I can’t find a dead spot from anywhere in the house and most of all when it is on it doesn’t sound like the swat team helicopter landing on your roof!! I will most likely be replacing the old whole house fans in a couple of my rentals with your product…… Tip- I did upsize, I got the model to accommodate 3400sf and my home is 2500sf. Works perfect.
